چکیده

Present paper deals, comparative study between mean value analysis and convolution algorithm for queueing network models by exponentially distributed service time for single and multi-class system. The throughput, utilization, average response time and mean number of jobs were obtained using performance measures. Numerical illustrations have been carried out to examine the effect of various parameters on performance indices. KeywordsMVA, CA, Probability, Normal Constant, Utilization, Through-put & Response time.

Implementing the Mean Value Algorithm for the Solution of Queueing Network Models

The Mean Value Analysis (MVA) algorithm of Reiser and Lavenberg is a very simple technique for the solution of fairly complex queueing network models: This paper describes a computer program which uses the MVA algorithm to solve almost all known versions of closed queueing networks which have 'product form' solutions. Introduction Queueing network models of computer systems are emerging as both...

The Tree MVA Algorithm

A new algorithm to solve product form queueing networks, especially those with large numbers of centers and chains, is presented. This algorithm is a Tree version of .Mean Value Analysis (MVA). Tree MVA is analogous to the Tree version of Convolution developed by Lam and Lien Like Tree Convolution, Tree WA allows exact solution of large networks which are intractable with previous sequential al...

A generalized method of moments for closed queueing networks

We introduce a new solution technique for closed product-form queueing networks that generalizes the Method of Moments (MoM), a recently proposed exact algorithm that is several orders of magnitude faster and memory efficient than the established Mean Value Analysis (MVA) algorithm. Compared to MVA, MoM recursively computes higher-order moments of queue lengths instead of mean values, an approa...

Half Beam Block Technique in Breast Cancer and It’s Dosimetric Analysis using different Algorithms

Introduction: Single isocentre half-beam block (HBB) technique permits the avoidance of hot and cold spots. This technique is very useful in sparing the underlying ipsilateral lung and heart, if the left breast is treated. The major advantage of this technique is that it facilitates the complete sparing of both contralateral breast and lung. Regarding this, the present study aimed to analyse th...

Efficient parallelization of the Method of Moments for queueing networks using multi-modular algebra

The solution of service performance models based on closed queueing networks often relies on the Mean Value Analysis (MVA) algorithm, which is unable to solve exactly large models with multiple service classes and hundreds or thousands of users. The Method of Moments (MoM) algorithm has been introduced and addressed this problem, by relying on the exact solution of large linear systems with rat...
